1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and Tapio Kauranen, Rua da Trindade 31, 4000-220 Porto, Portugal (“we”, “us”, “our”), the provider of the Susanna Dashboard service. Susanna Dashboard is the website susannadashboard.com and the web application that turns Google Search Console data into reports (together “the Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, such as your company or the agency you work for, you accept these Terms on its behalf and confirm that you are allowed to do so. In that case “you” means the organization.
These Terms cover two kinds of customers:
- Business customers use the Service for their trade, business or profession, for example agencies, consultants and companies.
- Consumers are individuals who use the Service for purposes outside their trade or profession, for example for a personal blog.
Consumers have rights under the law of their country that these Terms cannot limit. Where a section applies only to business customers or only to consumers, it says so.
These documents are part of these Terms:
- the Acceptable Use Policy,
- for business customers, the Data Processing Agreement,
- the plan you choose, with the limits and prices shown on our website and in the app when you choose it.
How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
- You need a Google account to create an account, and you must be at least 18 years old.
- Anyone who can sign in to your Google account can also sign in to your Susanna Dashboard account, so keep your Google account secure. We recommend Google’s 2-Step Verification.
- Don’t let other people use your account. You are responsible for what is done in it.
- Keep the email address of your account up to date. We send important messages about your account, your sites and your billing to it.
- If you think someone has used your account without permission, tell us right away at security@susannadashboard.com.
3. The Service
3.1 What it does
Susanna Dashboard reads the performance data of the Search Console properties you connect and shows it as reports, charts, tables and recommendations. To do this it needs read-only access to Search Console, which you give in Google’s own permission window. The Service cannot change anything in your Search Console.
3.2 Where the numbers come from
All data comes from Google Search Console through Google’s API. We do our best to fetch and show it correctly, but:
- Google publishes the data with a delay, usually of 2 to 3 days, and can revise recent days,
- Google leaves out rare searches and limits how many rows it returns,
- a break at Google or in the Service can delay updates.
The reports are a tool for analysis, not an official record. Check figures that matter against Search Console.
3.3 Recommendations and alerts
The Service can point out changes and opportunities in your data. These are automated suggestions based on your Search Console numbers. They are not professional advice, and we don’t promise any result from following them, such as better rankings or more traffic. You decide what to do with your site.
3.4 Changes to the Service
We develop the Service all the time: we add, change and sometimes remove features. If we remove or substantially reduce a feature of a paid plan, we tell you at least 30 days in advance. You can then cancel your plan and get back the part of a prepaid fee that covers the time after the change.
Features marked as beta, preview or “coming soon” may change or end without notice.
3.5 Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. Maintenance, updates and problems at Google or at our providers can cause breaks. When we can, we announce planned maintenance in advance.
Support is given by email at support@susannadashboard.com, in English or Finnish, on business days in Portugal.
3.6 Private alpha
The Service is in a private alpha: only people we have invited can sign in. During the alpha there are no paid plans and nothing is charged. Some features described in these Terms, such as paid plans, share links, email reports, alerts and white label, are not available yet; the sections about them apply once they are released. We tell you before the alpha ends.
4. Search Console and Google
- Connect only Search Console properties that you have the right to use: your own sites, or the sites of clients who have given you access. When you work for a client, you are responsible for having the client’s permission to use their data in the Service and to share reports about it.
- Your use of Google’s services is governed by Google’s own terms. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Google, Google Search Console and Google Search are trademarks of Google LLC.
- You can remove our access at any time, in the Service or in your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Without it we can’t update your reports.
- Google can change or limit its API. Some features may then stop working or work differently. We are not responsible for changes made by Google, but we tell you about them and do our best to keep the Service working.
5. Your data
5.1 You own your data
“Your Data” means the Search Console data fetched for your account and everything you add to the Service: your reports and their settings, names, notes, tags, lists, logos, images and other content. You keep all rights to Your Data.
5.2 How we use it
You give us the right to store, copy, process and show Your Data only as far as is needed to provide, secure and maintain the Service for you, including backups, and to comply with the law.
We don’t sell Your Data, we don’t use it for advertising and we don’t use it to train general AI models. Data we receive from Google’s APIs is used only as Google’s API Services User Data Policy allows (see Google user data in the Privacy Policy).
We may use statistics about how the Service is used, such as how many reports are created, to improve the Service. These statistics never include your Search Console data, and they don’t identify you.
5.3 Content you add
You are responsible for the content you add, such as logos and images, and you confirm that you have the right to use it. Content must follow the Acceptable Use Policy.
5.4 Personal data in Your Data
Your Data can include personal data that you are responsible for, for example search queries that contain a person’s name, or the email addresses of the people you send reports to. For that data you are the controller and we process it on your behalf. For business customers, the Data Processing Agreement applies to this processing.
5.5 Export and deletion
You can export the data of your reports and delete sites and your account at any time. When you remove a site, its stored data is deleted. When you delete your account, all Your Data is deleted. Deleted data is removed from our backups within 30 days, and we cannot bring it back.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: use the Service lawfully, use only data you are allowed to use, don’t try to get into anyone else’s data or harm the Service, and don’t overload it or get around its limits.
7. Sharing reports and white label
- A share link shows a report to anyone who has the link, without signing in, until you switch the link off or it expires. You decide who you share reports with, and you are responsible for sharing them only with people who may see the data.
- When you send reports or alerts by email, you must have the right to send them to the recipients.
- On the free plan, shared reports show a small note that they are made with Susanna Dashboard.
- White label, part of the Pro plan, lets you show reports under your own brand, for example to your clients.
8. Plans, prices and payment
8.1 Plans
The Service will have a free plan and paid plans. Before a plan is offered, its contents, limits and prices are shown on our website and in the app. We may change the free plan and its limits. If a change means that some of your dashboards stop updating, we tell you in advance.
8.2 Prices and taxes
Prices are in euros. Value added tax (VAT) and other taxes are added as the law of your country requires, and the total is shown before you pay. A business customer in the EU who gives a valid VAT number is invoiced without VAT where the reverse charge applies.
8.3 Paying and renewal
Paid plans are paid in advance for each billing period: one month, or another period that we offer. Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. By choosing a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method, through Stripe, at the start of each period.
8.4 Adding and removing dashboards
The price of Pro depends on the number of dashboards. When you add or remove dashboards, the price changes with them, and the difference for the rest of the billing period is charged or credited automatically. A credit is used for your next invoices. It is not paid out, unless the law requires it.
8.5 When a payment fails
If a payment fails, it is tried again and you get reminders. If it still hasn’t been paid 14 days after the due date, your account moves to the free plan:
- One dashboard, which you choose, keeps working.
- The others are frozen: they stop fetching new data, their reports can only be read, and their share links stop working.
- White label switches off. Your brand settings are kept for 90 days.
Nothing is deleted because of this. When you pay again, the frozen dashboards start again, and the gap in their data is filled in as far as Google still has the data.
8.6 Price changes
We may change our prices. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and it applies from your first billing period after that. If you don’t accept the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
8.7 Cancelling
You can cancel a paid plan at any time in your account. The plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have paid for, and then your account moves to the free plan as described in section 8.5. Fees already paid are not refunded, except as these Terms say (sections 3.4, 9, 12.3 and 17) or the law requires.
8.8 Receipts and invoices
Your receipts and invoices are available in your account.
9. Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of the day you ordered it, without giving a reason.
- To withdraw, tell us clearly before the 14 days have passed, for example by email to billing@susannadashboard.com. You may use the model form at the end of these Terms, but you don’t have to.
- We refund your payment without undue delay, and at the latest within 14 days of receiving your message, using the payment method you used.
- When you order a paid plan, you ask us to start providing it straight away, during the withdrawal period. If you then withdraw, we may keep an amount in proportion to the part of the service provided before you told us.
The right of withdrawal doesn’t apply to business customers.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, texts, documentation and trademarks, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms for as long as you have an account.
You may not copy, change, sell or rent out the Service, or try to get its source code, except where mandatory law allows it. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely and without any obligation to you.
11. Third-party services
The Service works with services of other companies, such as Google for signing in and for Search Console, and Stripe for payments. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability or changes to them.
12. Suspension and termination
12.1 By you
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
12.2 By us
We may suspend or close your account, or limit your use of the Service, if:
- you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy,
- you don’t pay fees that are due (see section 8.5),
- your use puts the security or the working of the Service, or other users, at risk, or
- the law or an authority requires it.
When we can, we tell you the reason in advance and give you a chance to put things right, unless the situation needs immediate action. We may also close a free account that hasn’t been signed in to for 24 months. We tell you at least 30 days before by email.
12.3 If we stop the Service
We may stop providing the Service altogether. We tell you at least 90 days in advance and refund the part of a prepaid fee that covers the time after the Service ends.
12.4 When your account is closed
Your right to use the Service ends, and Your Data is deleted as described in section 5.5. Before your account is closed, you can export the data you need. The sections that by their nature should last after the account is closed, such as those on liability and on governing law, continue to apply.
13. No warranties
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise that the Service meets your needs, that the data Google provides is complete or correct, or that using the Service improves your results in search.
If you are a consumer, your statutory rights in case of a defect in the Service are not affected.
14. Limitation of liability
For business customers:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost revenue or lost business, or for losses caused by decisions made on the basis of the reports.
- We are not liable for losses caused by Google or other third parties.
- If data is lost because of our negligence, our liability is limited to restoring it from our latest backup, where that is possible.
- Our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that caused the liability. If you have used only the free plan, it is limited to 100 euros.
- A claim must be made in writing within 6 months of the day you learned, or should have learned, of its grounds.
- These limits don’t apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, to harm to life, body or health, or where the law doesn’t allow liability to be limited.
If you are a consumer, we are liable for damage as mandatory consumer law provides.
15. Indemnity
This section applies to business customers. You will compensate us for reasonable costs and losses, including reasonable legal fees, caused by claims of third parties that arise from Your Data, from content you add, or from using the Service against these Terms or the law. For example, a claim that you connected a client’s site without permission, or used a logo you didn’t have the right to use. We tell you about such a claim promptly and let you take part in defending it.
16. Events beyond control
Neither of us is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, epidemics, failures of public networks or power, breaks at Google or at other providers, cyberattacks that couldn’t reasonably have been prevented, or decisions of authorities.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms, for example when the Service or the law changes. We tell you about important changes at least 30 days before they take effect, by email or in the Service. Changes required by law, or made for security reasons, may take effect sooner.
If you don’t accept a change, you can stop using the Service and cancel your plan before the change takes effect, and we refund the part of a prepaid fee that covers the time after it. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
18. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without its rules on the choice of law. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn’t apply.
- If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
- Please contact us first at support@susannadashboard.com. Most problems can be solved quickly.
- For business customers, disputes are settled in the courts of Porto, Portugal.
- A consumer can also take a dispute to the courts of the place where they live, or to a consumer arbitration centre. In Portugal these include CNIACC, the national centre for consumer information and arbitration (Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo), and CICAP, the centre of Porto (Centro de Informação de Consumo e Arbitragem do Porto). All the centres are listed on the Consumer Portal of Portugal. A dispute of up to 5,000 euros is settled by such a centre if the consumer chooses so, and we take part.
- A consumer in another EU country can also get help from the European Consumer Centre of their country.
19. Other terms
- The whole agreement. These Terms and the documents named in section 1 are the whole agreement about the Service. If a business customer has signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement comes first where the two differ.
- Order of precedence. In matters of data protection, the Data Processing Agreement comes before these Terms.
- Transfer. You may not transfer this agreement to someone else without our consent. We may transfer it to a company that continues the Service, such as the company that will provide Susanna Dashboard once it has been registered, or in a merger or a sale of the business, and we tell you in advance. For consumers, a transfer must not weaken their position.
- Severability. If a part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
- No waiver. If we don’t use a right straight away, we don’t give it up.
- Notices. We send notices to the email address of your account. You can send notices to us at hello@susannadashboard.com, or to the address given in the section concerned.
- Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails, unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
